Shipping Settings & Estimates
- Shipping settings are currently set for estimates only.
- If you would like to have shipping labels provided at the estimated cost, please email info@hatchaholics.com to get set up with our EasyPost provider.
Using the Correct Box Sizes
We’ve preloaded common poultry and egg shipping boxes into the system. These help generate more accurate shipping estimates. Vendors may override these settings by:
- Going to the Vendor Dashboard.
- Setting custom shipping fees under Settings – Shipping.

Special Notes for Chicks and Birds
- Enter each chick the weight with dimensions. Example: Chicks: 0.5 lbs, 1 x 1 x 1 in.
- Always add the correct chick box separately for accurate shipping with weight set to 0. This allows vendors to charge separately for shipping materials at their discretion.
🛒 Buyer Notice
Separate Vendor Shipping
- Orders from different vendors will generate separate shipping charges since each vendor ships their own items.
Best Practices for Accurate Shipping
- Place hatching egg orders, chick orders, and bird orders separately for the most accurate results.
- Shipping estimates are now much improved, but still under fine-tuning.

🚚 Shipping Carrier Updates
Vendors & Buyers Please Note:
- USPS Priority Mail and USPS Priority Mail Express are now available for shipping, with standard USPS fees applied for shipping live animals & hatching eggs. USPS Ground is available for items like supplements, supplies, and books.
- UPS options will be added very soon — we’re actively working on integration.
This means your customers can now choose faster, insured USPS services when checking out, and you as a vendor can factor those rates into your shipping setup.
